Sam Arthur
Sam has been practicing as an Exercise Physiologist since starting SAEXP in 2015. He has a keen interest in working with people to assist them in improving their confidence to use exercise to improve several health conditions. He acknowledges that although not everyone will become regular exerciser immediately, creating a comfortable environment as well as working with a practitioner that cares about their health will give each patient the best chance to commit to using exercise to improve their health. His principle is that exercise and nutrition do not need to be overly complicated to be highly effective at improving your health.
Additionally, Sam completed a Master of Human Nutrition at Deakin University where he completed a thesis “Dietary inflammatory index and its link to cognitive function in adults with type 2 diabetes”.

Claudia Pan
Claudia completed her Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Masters of Exercise Physiology in 2022 at Latrobe University Bendigo. Claudia recognises that everyone has different circumstances, needs, interests and that the same program does not work for everyone and is dedicated to finding a routine that works for each individual.
Claudia is passionate about breaking down and applying evidence-based exercise interventions to ensure patient-focused strategies that are tailored to each person’s needs and interests.
Claudia’s special interest is Women’s Health. She is eager to help women of all ages achieve their goals. Claudia is passionate about providing ongoing support and education for women’s health conditions. She is devoted to helping women find specific strategies and interventions for each individual’s symptoms, fitness level, health, and lifestyle.
Another special interest includes working alongside those with neurological conditions to build long-term habits and functional skills as well as providing support through the recovery journey to help each person achieve the best functional results to improve overall mobility and quality of life.

Scott Wood
Scott holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science as well as a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Deakin University, obtained in 2023. His professional journey encompasses roles as a Personal Trainer and Basketball coach since 2021, where he engaged with diverse clientele across all age groups.
Embracing that ‘exercise is medicine’, Scott is committed to collaborating with individuals to realize their personal goals. Through the implementation of tailored, client-specific approaches, he seeks to delve deeper, addressing the psychological, social, and environmental dimensions of health. Scott is dedicated to fostering a safe and caring environment making the exercise experience more enjoyable.
Prior to joining SAEXP, Scott gained valuable experience in trauma-related clinical settings and hospitals, where he recognized the significance of a client-centred approach and the attainment of functional movements essential for daily living.
Scott’s professional interests encompass Mental Health, where he endeavours to uplift moods and cultivate a relaxed atmosphere during sessions. His passion for this field stems from a belief that mental health issues are just as important as physical conditions, and physical conditions are likely to influence mental health.

Sarah Pavano
Sarah has studied a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science at La Trobe University, then furthered her studies in a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Deakin finishing in 2024. She has experience as a gym instructor and a Sports Trainer as well as recent experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant at Epworth Hospital.
Sarah is deeply committed to creating strong, personal connections with her clients to ensure they receive the care they need to reach their goals. With a passion for Exercise Oncology, Neurological conditions and an advocate for Women’s Health and representation, Sarah focuses on the mental and physical effects of exercise as medicine. Sarah’s belief in evidence-based practice and client centred approaches means that her passion in Exercise Oncology is what drives her to be the practitioner she is today.
Her idea of “Teamwork makes the Dream Work” drives her approach to helping clients realise their full potential through and working together to achieve your goals with a holistic approach.
