Sam Arthur
Sam has been practicing as an Exercise Physiologist since starting SAEXP in 2015. He has a keen interest in working with people to assist them in improving their confidence to use exercise to improve several health conditions. He acknowledges that although not everyone will become regular exerciser immediately, creating a comfortable environment as well as working with a practitioner that cares about their health will give each patient the best chance to commit to using exercise to improve their health. His principle is that exercise and nutrition do not need to be overly complicated to be highly effective at improving your health.
Additionally, Sam completed a Master of Human Nutrition at Deakin University where he completed a thesis “Dietary inflammatory index and its link to cognitive function in adults with type 2 diabetes”.

Claudia Pan
Claudia completed her Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Masters of Exercise Physiology in 2022 at Latrobe University Bendigo. She has been a Reformer Pilates instructor and has worked with a broad range of clients as a Personal Trainer since 2021.
Claudia is excited to be a part of the SAEXP team. She is passionate about providing excellent patient centred care and improving people’s quality of life. Claudia enjoys working together with other specialists to obtain the best possible outcomes for her patients, she believes that some exercise is better than none.
Prior to being appointed at SAEXP, Claudia’s experience in community health settings dealing with various chronic conditions provided a better understanding of how to educate and support her clients, to achieve a greater range of function for daily living activities.
Claudia’s special interests include working alongside those with neurological conditions, with the goal of supporting them through the recovery journey to achieve the best functional results and improve overall mobility. This clinical interest developed further whilst working at the Royal Talbot in Kew during placement with stroke and acquired brain injury clients, and other various neurological conditions.
Further to Claudia’s professional approach, is that she recognises that everyone has different circumstances, needs, and interests and the same program does not work for everyone. She is dedicated to finding a routine that works for each individual to ensure patient focused strategies which are tailored to specifically suit each person’s needs and interests. She is committed to providing evidence-based practice in a safe and friendly environment.

Scott Wood
Scott holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science as well as a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology from Deakin University, obtained in 2023. His professional journey encompasses roles as a Personal Trainer and Basketball coach since 2021, where he engaged with diverse clientele across all age groups.
Embracing that ‘exercise is medicine’, Scott is committed to collaborating with individuals to realize their personal goals. Through the implementation of tailored, client-specific approaches, he seeks to delve deeper, addressing the psychological, social, and environmental dimensions of health. Scott is dedicated to fostering a safe and caring environment making the exercise experience more enjoyable.
Prior to joining SAEXP, Scott gained valuable experience in trauma-related clinical settings and hospitals, where he recognized the significance of a client-centred approach and the attainment of functional movements essential for daily living.
Scott’s professional interests encompass Mental Health, where he endeavours to uplift moods and cultivate a relaxed atmosphere during sessions. His passion for this field stems from a belief that mental health issues are just as important as physical conditions, and physical conditions are likely to influence mental health.
