Non-Surgical Rehabilitation

Musculoskeletal conditions can cause pain, stiffness and inflammation in one or more joints or muscles. Exercise when prescribed correctly can improve joint mobility and muscular strength whilst reducing some of these symptoms. At SAEXP we are experienced in working with the following acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions and injuries:

  • Gluteal tendinopathy and bursitis (lateral hip pain)
  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Patella tendinopathy
  • Rotator cuff tears and impingements
  • Tendonitis
  • Sprains and strains
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis
  • Rehabilitation following fractures without surgical intervention.

An Exercise Physiologist can assist these injuries and conditions by:

  • Identifying the cause of the injury
  • Reducing pain
  • Reducing recovery time
  • Improving joint mechanics, movement quality and range of motion
  • Improving muscular strength and endurance without exacerbating pain
  • Reducing muscular atrophy
  • Restoring confidence in physical capacity
  • Reducing the impact your injury has on your life
