Cardiac Rehabilitation
Exercise is a key component of cardiac rehabilitation, that helps strengthen your heart following a heart procedure, diagnosis or episode. Participation in a cardiac rehabilitation program reduces hospital readmissions as well as reduces the overall time spent in hospital. The role of an Exercise Physiologist is to prescribe and monitor a safe and effective exercise program specific to each person. At SAEXP we pride ourselves in creating a comfortable and supportive environment to help restore confidence whilst helping people achieve a healthier, better quality of life.
Cardiac rehabilitation is recommended for you if you have had the following diagnosis’ or treatments:
- Hypertension (High blood pressure)
- Coronary artery disease
- Stable angina
- Post Myocardial infarction (Heart attack)
- Post Cardiac arrest
